ISOTRA was founded as a limited liability company in Bolatice in 1992 by its associate members, Ing. Erich Stavař and Ing. Bohumír Blachut. Among its first activities belonged wholesale trade with window sealing (including the installations). The name of the company ISOTRA originated then too. ISO deriving from "izolace" (insulation) and TRA standing for "trade". Due to a great demand for blinds after 1993 the line of business of ISOTRA expanded and the company started to mount blinds and then also produce them.  

Continuous efforts for improvements of products and services led, in 1995, to the company's decision to produce its own components for blinds as well as other products of shading technology. A great will to continuously develop and look for new technical solutions brought about ISOTRA's own development working site, setting up of a designing room, modern tool shop, thermoplastic press shop, and large production areas.

Our production plan comprises interior blinds, blinds with cord control, vertical blinds, textile blinds, outside blinds, fore-window roller blinds, insect screens, garage doors, Euro windows, punch tools and recently also technologically demanding rolling rails for the production of blind profiles and slats. Apart from ready made products ISOTRA also offers deliveries of components and complete technologies necessary for the production of a whole range of products of shading technology.

ISOTRA a.s. is a holder of quality certificate ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001.

Since 2000 ISOTRA has repeatedly participated at the biggest world fair with shading technology, R+T in Stuttgart, where it has shown new technical solutions and luxury blind variants.  

ISOTRA has achieved many successes in its line of business. One of the latest news it has brought on the market is the unique model of ISOTRA ENERGY - interior blind which uses photovoltaic cells for its driving mechanism as well as it makes use of solar energy. Thus it moves development in the field of blind production into a new dimension.

ISOTRA is regarded as one of the technological leaders in the field of shading technology; the company employs almost 500 employees and exports its products into 30 countries of the world.
